Louis Q Iverson, a.k.a., “QthaElevated.” Born in Wichita, KS and partially raised in Chicago, IL. I moved to San Antonio, TX in 2015 after discharging from eight years in the US Air Force. In 2010 while stationed at Andrews AFB, I met Keith Passmore and established the group MC²; we’ve been a hip-hop and soul music duo ever since. Since 2017 we have released a series of music albums that feature a wide array of San Antonio talents, everything from musicians, poets, rappers, singers, and comedians. We’ve played live for the YOSA Michael Jackson’s Thriller Tribute and participated in various festivals around Texas, to include Fiesta!, Pecan Street Festival, Elevated Peoples, Referendum, and the Martian Arts Festival. Currently, after 10+ years of being a duo, I am beginning a new journey and creating my very first solo album entitled, “Sublime.” This is very much a new venture, but an exciting one just the same! Catch up with me in the community! I’m always active on Instagram.

Artist Statement of Work

Tell us about your work (style, approach, philosophy, subject and/or theme):

My approach to music is rooted in the foundational pillars of Hip-Hop Culture, primarily the pillar of self-love/self-awareness. My music catalog empowers Black and brown people who, like the culture we come from, are the builders who have created something brilliant from what many perceive as little or nothing. My company, Elevated Media Co. is a representation of this philosophy, the belief and understanding that you can always choose to be a better version of yourself, i.e., "you can always Elevate."
