Marlene Mejia is a San Antonio-based Latina artist and graphic designer with a focus in illustration and poster design. A principal theme found in Marlene’s work is the empowerment and representation of Latinx’s with the use of vibrant colors and illustrative designs. She is inspired by the unique culture and festive colors found throughout San Antonio. Marlene received an associates degree in Communication Design from San Antonio College in December 2021 and is excited to officially be a full time artist and graphic designer servicing and representing San Anto. She currently works as a production intern at The San Antonio Current, where she creates covers and digital and print ads for local businesses. During her free time, Marlene freelances as “MuyMarlo” where she assists local business, artists and non-profits with logo design, poster design, merchandise design, photography and social media content.
