Miguel Vargas

Originally from the Twin Cities (Minneapolis/St. Paul), MN. A club DJ since 2006. In 2010, co-founded Radio Pocho, a weekly music program produced at community radio station KFAI-FM Minneapolis. Served as Program Director at KFAI from 2012-2014. In 2015, became a Cultural Curator of the Twin Cities Latinx Arts scene by creating events that brought together local Latinx music and visual artists and vendors, in addition to booking traveling Latinx indie music artists to perform at these events. Also served as a Stations Relations Representative for American Public Media (2015-2018) in distributing nationally syndicated programs to public radio stations across the country.

In 2018, relocated to San Antonio, TX to pursue more Cultural Curation endeavors around DJing, radio production, and event promoting. Since then collaborations have been with Friend of Sound Records, and Lighthouse Lounge. Since 2019, Radio Pocho now airs on both KRTU-FM San Antonio and KFAI-FM Minneapolis.
