My performance style derives from storytelling . Being brought up in a low income Hispanic household , I faced struggles that included poverty and domestic violence (verbal, mental, and physical). This was very traumatic and detrimental to the person I grew up to be , especially after contracting HIV while in college at 19 years old through sex addiction . I then submerged into the world of drugs and substance abuse , and my only saving grace was my art . After years of counseling and rehabilitation , I found a release in performance . I was able to take all of my pain and struggles and turn them into something beautiful . I started drag at the age of 19 and I am now going to be 28 next week on April 21st . I am sober , clean of substance , and living a healthy and productive life with art still by my side . I take a particular interest in Horror , because horror is queer . It's different . It is outcasted by the normal means of interest . I am able to take my inner demons I once faced , and bring them to life through makeup and performance . Through my storytelling and vulnerability, I am able to help others going through similar struggles . My interest in horror goes beyond my performance . I started collecting horror films at the age of 8 and by the time I was 15 I had an entire archive of horror films . This carried on into my adult life, where I am now an amateur horror film critic . I review films and interview horror directors which can be found on my Youtube channel.
