Artist Statement of Work

Tell us about your work (style, approach, philosophy, subject and/or theme):

Art is exploration. My exploration often concerns social, interpersonal and psychological relationships. Beyond commenting on inequality or injustice within the dynamics of social interaction and relationships I am particularly fascinated by the intimate exchange between the viewer and the usually inaudible subjects in my pieces. I like to imagine a metaphysical place where a stranger (the viewer) and I connect. I believe my work as an artist is part of my spirituality as well and when my art is healing for me I believe it invites healing for others I share it with. In this way too we are all connected.
