My name is Ricardo Duran I’m a 28 year old artist. I create art from what the world throws away. I work with scrap metal and things most people see as ugly, broken, or useless and transform it into works of art. I clean, cut, shape, and weld until something entirely new emerges. Not just beautiful, but meaningful. I specialize in creating animal and wildlife sculptures and also make one of a kind pieces and commissioned work.

Tell us about your work (style, approach, philosophy, subject and/or theme):
My work is inspired by nature. I love creating animal sculptures and other wildlife that I find beautiful. Every piece that I make starts off as unwanted scrap, trash or discarded metal and through a process of cleaning, cutting, heating, welding it slowly starts taking shape and eventually becomes something beautiful.
