Mexic-Arte Museum’s Emerging Latinx Artists guest curator, Rigoberto Luna is a native of San Antonio, TX, where he is Co-founder and Director of Presa House Gallery. He has curated numerous exhibitions heavily focused and advocating for Latinx artists living and working in Central and South Texas. In 2021, Luna served as the Curatorial Assistant and Exhibitions Coordinator for the Texas Biennial. Recently Luna participated as the juror of the 2021 Rising Eyes of Texas at Rockport Center for the Arts, 2020 Third Coast Biennial National Juried Exhibition at K Space Contemporary in Corpus Christi, TX, and a selection panelist for the 2022 Art League Houston Texas Artist of the Year, Houston Arts Alliance 2021 Houston Airports System Portable Works, and 2020 Tito’s Prize at Big Medium in Austin, TX. Luna is currently developing and curating two upcoming exhibitions supported by the City of San Antonio’s Department of Arts & Culture at Centro De Artes and a Día de Los Muertos exhibition for the City of San Antonio World Heritage Office. Additionally, Luna currently works in the Exhibitions Department at the San Antonio Museum of Art.
