Robert Rose Mata

With an Art Associates from San Antonio College I transferred to the University of Texas At San Antonio and graduated with a BFA in 2018 and have been a practicing professional artist since then, with many celebrated Fine Art shows and installation events. I also have representation in several popular local small businesses displaying work for sale to the public.  I enjoy experimental, naturalistic processes that invite risk, chance, and reward. Exploring the definition of an implement as it pertains to mark making and meaning has allowed me to discover novel processes of creative production. From long exposure techniques in photography to inventive means of applying paint to a canvas I have found consistent inspiration investigating the cusps of different artistic genres. Additionally I personally credit my appreciation of nature and this shared, phenomenological reality as the driving impetus for my creative demands that task me with the motive to attempt to share pictographically what I consider perspectively.
