Tell us about your work (style, approach, philosophy, subject and/or theme):
Being born in Mexico, but growing up in San Antonio, I have always walked in two worlds. As a mujer, my artwork centers around femininity through strength and resilience. Through my jewelry, I explore traditional Mexican and Chicano folk art, combining modern motifs inspired by the women around me. I strive to bring out the beauty of all the facets of womanhood and life experiences of the different cultures I have grown up in. I take all the inspiration passed down from generations of cultural heritage and create pieces that speak to a multitude of audiences by working with different mediums that accentuate the sentiment behind it.
