Hi! My name is Sky Beal, and I am an interdisciplinary and mixed media artist and designer, as well as a proud San Antonio native. My work is known for its vibrant, playful, and bold nature, often sparking conversation through its immersive qualities. I specialize in abstracting and distorting elements from living species—humans, animals, and plants—to create dynamic and engaging pieces. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts from UTSA and have had the privilege of showcasing, selling, and competing in various venues throughout my career. I’ve also worked with some of the most prominent names in the creative and entertainment industries. Most notably, I was part of the project team for Meow Wolf’s The Real Unreal in Dallas, where I contributed multiple murals, served as lead painter and designer, and created sculptural elements throughout the exhibition and lobby space. Now that I’ve returned to my roots in San Antonio, I’m eager to share my creative artistry with our city. I would love the opportunity to discuss potential opportunities and how my skills can contribute to your vision.

My work draws inspiration from all living elements—humans, animals, and plants—through which I create worlds and environments that are entirely unique. I focus on abstracting and distorting familiar features to form something new, often using vivid colors, patterns, textures, and clean line work. My pieces challenge perceptions, offering viewers a multi-sensory experience that transforms their understanding of space and reality. Working across two- and three-dimensional forms, I incorporate video, sculpture, and paint to engage viewers in an immersive way. By blending human features, natural elements, and radical abstract visuals, I explore contradictions and create new creatures or beings of my own design. My process is intuitive, allowing inspiration and experimentation to shape the final outcome, with the large scale of my work inviting interaction. Nature is integral to my work; I am particularly fascinated by the textures it provides, which I incorporate to create depth and complexity. I enjoy taking familiar aspects of life and abstracting them from their conventional meaning or context, providing not just a visual experience, but a journey into a reimagined reality.
