Survival Guide

An electronic indie-pop musician with a background in punk rock, Emily Whitehurst is the solo artist behind Survival Guide. Her danceable tunes are somewhat like a birthday cake: alternating layers of Depeche Mode, Metric, Peter Gabriel and Grimes, with strong melodies and vocals being the icing on top. Whitehurst has just released her second full-length original album as Survival Guide in late 2023, and has been performing this new material on her keyboards around San Antonio with Johnny Lightning (The Heroine, The 501s) on drums and Derek Badillo (The Y Equals, The 501s) on both guitar and bass.
