TEARS

Puerto Rican-born TEARS, found her love for music in her hometown of Virginia Beach, Virginia where she fed off of the pop-punk scene. During her teenage years, she moved to Miami, Florida, a city known for its diverse, multilingual, and multicultural population. This change of environment was not only a culture shock for the artist but also influenced the sound and style she proudly embodies along with her carefree attitude toward expressing herself through her music. 
 After a life-changing experience from a tumultuous relationship, TEARS took a leap of faith and moved to Texas with nothing but $200 in her pocket. This sudden shift fueled the singer/songwriter/producer to make music that she could share with others in the hopes of empowering and inspiring. Her unique vocals are distinctive and have the ability to project emotion throughout her songs. Her melodies and lyrics are fueled by her heartbreaks, traumas, and tribulations and inspired by Rihanna, Gorillaz, Etta James, Ivy Queen, CocoRosie, and Santigold to name a few. This concoction of genres and influences has led TEARS to create a sound of her own.
