Artist Statement of Work

Tell us about your work (style, approach, philosophy, subject and/or theme):

My artistic practice is a continuous exploration of the beauty found in the everyday elements of the natural world. I am deeply inspired by the intricate details of both living and non-living things—from the delicate structure of a flower to the rich texture of wood and stone. My goal is to capture these quiet moments of wonder and translate them into art that creates a dialogue between the viewer and their own environment.

Working across a diverse range of disciplines, including painting, mural-making, and traditional folk art, allows me to adapt my creative expression to the subject at hand. My process is fluid, moving between mediums like acrylics, oils, and clay, and across surfaces as varied as canvas, glass, and wood. This versatility is central to my work, as it enables me to fully realize my vision, whether I am creating an intimate portrait or a large-scale public installation.

A significant part of my work is rooted in celebrating cultural heritage. Through practices like traditional Indian folk art and the intricate, ephemeral art of Rangoli, I connect with a rich lineage of artistic expression. These forms are more than just aesthetic; they are a way to foster community and create a shared sense of place and identity. Ultimately, I believe art has the power to elevate the mundane and remind us of the profound beauty that surrounds us. My creations are an open invitation to pause, observe, and reconnect with the world and with one another.
