Tori Pool is a Texas-native writer and comedian. She is the host and producer of Texas Public Radio’s Worth Repeating podcast and co-author of popular card game, Latino Card Revoked. In 2021, she was interviewed on Netflix is a Joke Radio, SiriusXM in a special segment for Hispanic Heritage month where she was named one of Cristela Alzonzo’s favorite up and comers. A regular at Texas comedy clubs, Pool has opened for great acts including Alonzo, Mo Amer, and Tom Green. When she isn’t on stage, Tori enjoys cloud watching, and begging her teenage boy to just hang out with her.

Tell us about your work (style, approach, philosophy, subject and/or theme):

As a standup comedian I make light of social and societal issues through sarcasm and punchlines with the hopes that the audience understands life’s hard but you can’t help but laugh at it all. Themes include: relationships, motherhood, jobs, and marriage.
