Artist Statement of Work
Tell us about your work (style, approach, philosophy, subject and/or theme):
Throughout my 26 year career, I have gained valuable experience working in the industry. This hands-on experience has provided me with a comprehensive understanding of current practices and tools used in film/video production, including proficiency with Sony, Red, Blackmagic, etc. cinema camera systems, lighting and production audio equipment, as well as editing and post-production software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Davinci Resolve. Moreover, with my 16 years of experience in teaching and mentoring award-winning student filmmakers through all phases of production, I am drawn to the opportunity to contribute my art to a community conversation that so values diversity and inclusion.
I am confident that my combination of academic qualifications, professional experience, and passion for unique stories will continue to fuel my work and my current feature film project, MILES UNDERWATER, through to completion. I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to further this project all the way to a world premiere, film festival run and a distribution agreement.
