9th Annual VIA Poetry on the Move Contest

VIA Metropolitan Transit’s 2018 Poetry on the Move contest is now accepting submissions through Jan. 15, 2018. Submissions must be entered online. Paper entries will NOT be accepted. The popular contest is now in its ninth year and features selected poems illustrated with designs by area teen art programs. The illustrated poems will be displayed on VIA buses and vans during National Poetry Month in April 2018.

The Poetry on the Move contest is open to anyone age 18 and older in Central and South Texas. Entries must be submitted to VIA by Monday, Jan. 15, 2018.

Contestants may each submit up to three poems. Each poem must be no longer than 10 lines, including titles and spaces, free of any offensive language, and understandable by a wide audience. Contest judges, VIA employees, and their families are not eligible to participate.
