Artpace Chalk It Up Festival

For 19 years, our free, annual community festival, Artpace Chalk It Up has enlivened downtown San Antonio by annually engaging over 25,000 people with contemporary art. On Saturday, October 14, Artpace Chalk It Up will welcome the community back to Houston Street for our 20th Anniversary festival, to collaborate on large-scale chalk murals, participate in educational art activities, and meet artists working in our community. This year’s Chalk It Up theme is: Dream Big!

Artpace founder Linda Pace conceived of Artpace as a laboratory of dreams, providing artists from all over the world with an environment that would encourage experimentation and growth. For our 20th Anniversary festival, we invite you to take inspiration from Linda, and create artwork inspired by your biggest dreams!

The festival will take place on Houston Street, between N Flores and N Presa, and at Legacy Park.
