Big Bands of South Texas

A one night event featuring a 14 Piece Big Band playing the music of historically significant San Antonio bands from the 1920s through 1940s. Some of the bands being portrayed would be: Boots & His Buddies (Boots Douglas), Don Albert & His Orchestra (Owner of The Key Hole Club), Jimmie Joys & His St. Anthony Hotel Orchestra, and Troy Floyd & His Plaza Hotel Orchestra.

The Dirty River Jazz Band will be playing and have curated a library of these musical arrangements with help from The San Antonio Swing Dance Society. Dance classes will be offered and full schedule available at sasds.org
