Canciones: Azul Barrientos & Las Migas

Canciones, the live music series featuring various local, national and international artists, returns to Pearl this June. This summer, guests will be treated to a special Ole edition of the free public concert series.

Las Migas headlines a special Ole Edition of Canciones at Pearl. The Spanish quartet is comprised of Begoña Salazar, Marta Robles, Alicia Grillo and Roser Loscos. The all-female group isn’t confined to standard musical genres. Instead the group finds inspiration in all manner of things. Las Migas has been described as “music for the soul,” responsible for creating a beautiful, euphoric, and emotional experience for listeners. Azul Barrientos opens this edition of Canciones at Pearl. Azul, a native of Mexico City and a resident of San Antonio, takes pride in her Latina roots. Her performances pay homage to musical influences of Spain, Africa and the Americas.
