A gift-wrapped present for San Antonio’s 300th Birthday and the 75th Anniversary season of the San Antonio Chamber Music Society:  the high priests of brass, The American Brass Quintet brings us an exciting program of classical brass — including an especially commissioned work by San Antonio’s own Jeff Balentine, inspired by SA Poet Laureate Carmen Tafolla and performed in premiere for SACMS audience. In its own 50 year existence, the American Brass Quintet has educated, inspired and sponsored classical brass ensembles all over the world.
