Stop by the Esperanza Peace & Justice Center’s Westside space to check out the Day of the Dead altars created by community members to honor their dearly departed.
The altars will stay on view after our Day of the Dead celebration so that folks can visit, learn more about this tradition, and pay their respects. We will have altars for local families, Lanier alumni, and even a community altar with photos and tributes from various people!
The altar exhibit opens during our Day of the Dead celebration on Friday, November 1, 5pm-11pm.
