Drag King Bilingual Storytime Con Los MENTirosos

Jump-Start Performance Co. is proud to present Los MENtirosos, San Antonio’s eminent drag king troupe who “Pack Puro San Anto Pride” as they continue a favorite project – offering storytime performances that include reading from a beloved, award-winning children’s book.  This time, it’s We are Water Protectors.  All ages are welcome!

Dancing, Reading, Arte y Ganas are each part of the experience which begins as Artistic Director SirGio leads everyone in Joyful Movement.  Then the children can dig into their Swag Bags which contain, among other goodies, musical instruments to be used during the performance.  After a short, original poetic story and “La Indita”, a New Mexican folk song, everyone settles in for Storytime, when the book reading is brought to life by actors, dancers and musicians.  As the story ends, the audience is invited to join the performers onstage for a Dance Party!
