Despite pushback from his employer, artist Pierre Daura executed a series of portraits in the late 1940s and early 1950s of fellow employees at the college where he taught. The reason for his employer’s disapproval—the staff who Daura invited to sit for him were Black. Join American art curator Regina Palm as she delves into the history and symbolism behind Good Henry.
