Mexican author Benito Taibo presents a talk on mole, an emblematic dish of the Mexican gastronomy.
Benito Taibo will explore the origins of mole and its importance in Mexican Gastronomy.
Was mole really an invention of Sister Andrea de la Asunción cooked for the first time in a convent in Puebla in 1685, or was it the sauce, mixture of chilies called mulli that indigenous people served in ceremonies as an offering to the gods?
Samples of mole by Chef Julio García of Tlahco Mexican Kitchen.
This will be a tasting experience! Free and open to the public.
