First Friday Exhibition Openings of Brittany Ham, Adam Schreiber, and Michael Velliquette

Unmooring: Brittany Ham’s exhibition of self-portraits explores interior and exterior space, architecturally and psychologically speaking. These oil paintings and charcoal drawings process the artist experiences with lockdown and social distancing compounding with the birth of a child and early motherhood. Adam Schreiber’s solo exhibition, Stadtwald, features photographs made during his time in residence at Künstlerhaus Bethanien as a grantee of Contemporary’s Berlin Residency Program and since his return. Adam Schreiber, whose methodology is akin to the photographic surveyor, found a niche here. The Direct Path features Michael Velliquette’s elaborate paper sculptures in what will be the most comprehensive show featuring these works to date. This unique installation of Velliquette’s work creates intimate spaces to welcome viewers into these intricate, structural, collages.
