First Friday Luncheon Concert Series

Started in 2007, the First Friday Luncheon Concert Series offers free concerts to the San Antonio community on the first Friday of each month, September through May at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 502 East Nueva (across from La Villita).  Free onsite parking in lot adjacent to church.   Performances feature local, regional and national artists.  First Friday concerts are presented at 12:05 pm in the historic St. John’s sanctuary and last approximately 30-45 minutes.  Home-made luncheon follows immediately in adjacent Memorial Hall, with a suggested $5 donation.For more info, contact the church at 210.223.2611 or info@stjohnssa.org

Friday, December 6 – Beethoven Damenchor – This concert will honor San Antonio’s German heritage as we listen to this 50-strong women’s choir singing a handful of secular pieces, as well as celebrating the Advent and Christmas music traditions through sacred and secular German choral offerings. There will be plenty of chances for the audience to participate in thesinging!
