The first film directed by Oscar winner Barry Jenkins, of Moonlight fame, "Medicine for Melancholy" follows 24 hours in the relationship of two young professionals. Micah (Wyatt Cenac) and Joanne (Tracey Heggins) are a young couple who wake up together in San Francisco. She wants to go home and forget; he persuades her to have breakfast.
