Grand Opening of La Nueva Casa MujerArtes

Join the Esperanza Peace and Justice Center in celebrating the opening of the new studio of MujerArtes, clay cooperativa de Esperanza. The studio is made out of Compressed Earth Blocks (CEB; adobe) and is the first adobe commercial structure in San Antonio in over 100 years.

The women of MujerArtes were a critical part of the design and physical construction of the building. The community will be able to see the beautiful mural on the outside of the building, as well as the intricate tile work inside the building itself. The celebration will include ceremonia y música.
