Haiku at the Botanical Garden

In celebration of National Haiku Day, guests are encouraged to write, read, and listen to haiku inspired by the natural world and the Steve Tobin: Rooted exhibition. The celebration will begin with an Intro to Haiku (9 – 9:15 am), live reading of Haiku local by San Antonio Poets Jim LaVilla-Havelin, Linda Simone, Eddie Vega, and Mobi Warren (9:30 – 10 am & 10:45 – 11:15 am), a poet-led haiku workshop (10 – 10:45 am), and haiku reading by guests (11:15 – 11:30 am). Haiku will also be posted throughout the Garden to enjoy! Part of the City of San Antonio Department of Arts & Culture celebration of National Poetry Month 2022.
