Iluminación De La Plaza Public Art Dedication & Community Celebration

You’re invited to join the City of San Antonio’s Department of Arts & Culture to celebrate the completion of Iluminación De La Plaza by San Antonio artist Christopher Montoya on Friday, November 3, 2023 starting at 10 a.m. in front of the mural located at 115 Plaza de Armas overlooking San Pedro Creek (ceremony at 10:30 a.m.). The City of San Antonio’s Council District 1, World Heritage Office, Office of Historic Preservation, plus the Bexar County Heritage Center, American Indians in Texas at the Spanish Colonial Missions and 1718 San Antonio Founding Families and Descendants will also be on-site to join in the festivities. Enjoy light refreshments and learn more about historic background of this area which was thoughtfully incorporated into the colorful mural design.
