MACRI Summer Film Series: Blue Beetle

Closing out MACRI’s 2023 Summer Film Series, curated by MonteVideo, we are thrilled to offer a limited number of FREE tickets to a preview of Blue Beetle, the first live-action superhero movie starring a Latino superhero!

Blue Beetle stars Xolo Maridueña, best known for Cobra Kai, and was directed by Angel Manuel Soto. Blue Beetle opens to the public on August 18th, but you can catch a FREE preview at the Santikos Mayan Palace on August 15th with MACRI!

Doors will open at 6:30 PM! Seating is limited and first come, first served so please RSVP to reserve your seat by Friday, August 11th.

FILM SYNOPSIS
Jaime Reyes suddenly finds himself in possession of an ancient relic of alien biotechnology called the Scarab. When the Scarab chooses Jaime to be its symbiotic host, he’s bestowed with an incredible suit of armor that’s capable of extraordinary and unpredictable powers, forever changing his destiny as he becomes the superhero Blue Beetle.
