MACRI Visitor Center Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting

The Mexican American Civil Rights Institute is pleased to invite you to the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for MACRI’s Visitor Center! Join us on Saturday, October 14, 2023 from 2 pm to 5:30 pm for an afternoon filled with musical and dance performances to celebrate the launch of our new Visitor Center. Performers include the Guadalupe Dance Company, Mariachi Azteca de America, and Bombasta!

Since MACRI’s founding in 2019, we have presented nearly 100 (mostly virtual) public programs on Mexican American civil rights history. Our Visitor Center is the next step towards a permanent national museum focused on Mexican American civil rights history and will further our work to put San Antonio on the map as the country’s cradle of Mexican American civil rights history!

Come celebrate this achievement with us! Gate opens at 1:30 PM. Program begins at 2 PM.
