MEGA CORAZON – San Antonio’s Marathon of Performance Poetry
Streaming Internationally from April 17th through April 30th of 2023.
Celebrating a hybrid San Antonio poetic tradition that combines street, classical, and slam performance styles, Mega Corazón is frontal, improvisational, at times painful, and often choreographed for a highly visual impact.
Our on-line audience will vote on their famous Performance Poet and help select the winner of the 2023 Gregg Barrios “Precious Words” Award of $500.
This year’s MEGA CORAZON premiers April 17, 2023 at 10 am CST with two distinct Shows which will run alternatively.
EVERY Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in April from 10 am to 10 pm
MEGA CORAZON’s “Poetry for Young Adults”, designed specifically as a FREE Cultural Enhancement resource for Middle and High Schools. Content is geared toward students in English, Creative Writing, Fine Art classes in Theatre, Music, Dance, Visual Arts and Media.
