Pass the Mic: Texas Poet Laureate Showcase

Andrea “Vocab” Sanderson (current San Antonio Poet Laureate) and “Outspoken” Bean (current Houston Poet Laureate) are San Antonio natives and have been friends for over 25 years. Both flourish as they work diligently in their respective cities to cultivate the vast landscape of Texas with: published works, slam style poetry, open mic, featured spoken word, as well as teaching creative writing and performance art for youth and adults. Each poet is a force in their own right, but on September 3rd you will witness them come together to bring dynamic, multidisciplinary performances to the Jo Long Theatre stage.
