Performance Party 37: PROM

Jump-Start presents Performance Party 37: Prom.  Our annual birthday celebration is jam-packed with puro San Anto teatro and performance art and laced with regional and national gems, all presented virtually and with safety in mind. The Prom fun begins Saturday, January 8, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. CST.

Company members / power twins Lilith Tijerina and Sarah Tijerina have curated the show to bring fun, extravaganza, and a sense of nostalgia for a simpler (and pre-Pandemia) time, which includes high school – but only the fun, cool stuff about high school!  With videos of one to three minutes, Prom showcases San Antonio icons like Amalia Ortiz, Anna de Luna, Los MENtirosos and Marisela Barrera, as well as up-and-coming artists and our extended family across the country.  As audience members begin to settle in with their version of trash can punch, they are invited to toss that and instead take advantage of the interactive cocktail/mocktail menu provided by our hosts, Sarah and Lilith, to complement the Prom experience.
