Pioneers & Refugees: Sephardic Jews, Identity, & Empire in the Spanish Borderlands of North America

The Spanish conquest of the Americas that began in 1492 has long overshadowed the fact that Jews were expelled from Spain that same year as the culmination of centuries-long persecution. Join us as Dr. Francis X. Galán, Ph.D., professor of History, Texas A&M University-San Antonio, discusses the path of the Sephardim in the New World.
