Poetry & Collage in Quarantine Youth Workshop

This spring the world slowed down as we began to shelter-in-place to flatten the curve. Though we are all in this together, it’s the details that make your quarantine experience unique. What has quarantine been like for you? Silent? Noisy? Too much time inside or more time outside? Poetry and collage are great intuitive tools for sharing our perspectives. In this workshop, students will combine concrete, sensory phrase language with cut-out visual images to create an original collage piece about our quarantine days.

The workshop is geared for ages 8-12 years old and is led by Teaching Artist Joy Jiménez. Students will meet for one-hour online via Zoom. Students will receive class link and instructions which will be delivered prior to the class date.
