Poetry Reboot 2022 with Edward Vidaurre

By welcoming pain and allowing the beauty of the same pain to flow in your writing, you will learn to write without reserve. We will welcome whatever ridiculous ideas and prompts come forth when thinking of what to write and be witnesses to our hearts and minds as we document those feelings and ideas. Students will bring 1-2 current pieces of writing to the class for feedback as well as generate new work. Following the first week’s generative workshop, we will focus on practical aspects of the poetry publishing process: the importance of editing, research, community, submitting, rejection, and staying focused.
