PURO GLXY DFNDR BLAST OFF SHOW

ON Feb 26th at the Dakota East Side Ice House (433 E Hackberry), the Mouth Poetry Project presents the blast off show for PURO GLXY DFNDR (Puro Galaxy Defender) a kid’s crown of poems. Written by Rooster Martinez with illustrations by Elexis Martinez, this collection of fifteen poems and artwork follow the Space Kid navigating life during COVID and quarantine, and a child’s desire to come to grips with grief.

This is a kid friendly event as there will be art for sale, free kid\’s books for the community, and more! The Dakota also sells food and drinks and adult beverages. The show will also feature special guests poets, Mandy Lynn and Nate Zen.

Open mic 5 pm; blast off show at 5:30 pm.
