Reggie Scott Young Poetry Reading at the Carver Library

San Antonio poet Reggie Scott Young will perform a reading from his book Yardbirds Squawking at the Moon and new poems from a developing collection titled Searching for Robert Johnson at the Alamodome. A limited number of special broadsides featuring a poem from the Searching for Robert Johnson collection will be presented to audience members at the free event.
Young is a poet, writer, and scholar who has published in leading magazines and journals such as Louisiana Literature, riverSedge, Chicago Review, African American Review, and Oxford American. He is a former professor of American literatures and creative writing at the University of Louisiana and a member of the San Antonio based Macondo Workshop. The event and free broadsides are made possible through the support of the City of San Antonio Department of Arts & Culture.
