Learn about how Mexican American communities across the U.S. experienced and responded to school segregation. The speakers will share histories from Arizona, South Texas, and Wyoming.

For many years, Mexican American schoolchildren were often forced to attend segregated schools, shamed for speaking Spanish, and denied the rich history of Mexicans in what is now the United States, which was downplayed or even excluded from the classroom, giving countless Mexican American students a sense of inferiority in a land that was once Mexico.
