ROCKER FOOZ: A PUNK FILM SHOWCASE

This punk film showcase features a menagerie of artists and voices from the heart of South and Central tejas, and even straight from the Neza, in the heart of Mexico City. From the impending doom of Garden Valley crooned by way of Legs Diamond to the rebelgurl docu-collage of Pretty Vacant, we examine the Punk Rocker within Tejano culture, an identity at the fringes like the cool Wallflower with a cigarette dangling from his lip, looking at the show from the back of the room, as well as outside of it, in the case of Alma Punk, with its cramped innercity neighborhoods brilliantly captured on VHS by late punk filmmaker Sarah Minter.
