SABIFF 2019 mixes workshops, forums, mixers, an international competition, and curated films themed on “Overcoming ‘isms, bad Hair & Other Social Constructs.” San Antonio, aka Military City USA, is popular with tourist attractions such as the Alamo, the 5-championship-winning Spurs Basketball team, delicious Tex-Mex cuisine, the 750 ft. Hemisphere Tower and its River Walk which runs through downtown. San Antonio, will now be know for an international annual film festival that highlights and features Black Indie films, images and marginalized voices that beacon diverse audiences to engage in issues that impact society. SABIFF is proud to take the lead to develop an event that marks history in the making.
