Silent Book Club and Banned Book Self-Guided Tour

Bexar county residents receive free admission to the museum from 10a.m. to Noon. During this time, we will have a self-guided banned book themed tour available.

From Noon to 1:00PM bring a blanket, your favorite book, and spread out on the museum’s west courtyard for SAMA’s first silent book club.  Often with traditional book clubs there is a rush to finish the assigned book, along with the added pressure to have something witty to say during the discussion. Introducing the silent book club, where book lovers meet at a certain time and place, read silently while enjoying the community and atmosphere of other readers.

Those that participate in this program can enter to win a curated banned book basket donated by Nowhere Bookshop.
