Over the summer, SAY Sí Visual Arts students explored the history of labor rights, activists, and movements in the United States through the medium of screen-printing. They examined the struggles of working-class people and the role of advocates and labor unions in the fight for workers’ rights – including historical, modern, and ongoing efforts. Together, we learned techniques for screen printing and created posters that touch on different labor rights moments and leaders.
