TEX-tiles: Celebration of Texas Fiber Art

TEXtiles is the annual Exhibition of the Fiber Artists of San Antonio. This year artists throughout Texas will be selected to participate in an exploration of both traditional and contemporary themes and practices in fiber art.  The exhibition will include art quilts, sculptural pieces, vessels/basketry, paper art forms, garments & accessories, woven textiles, mixed media, and many other examples of art with fiber elements. The exhibition will be a juried show – this year’s juror’s Mary Heathcott/Director, Contemporary at Blue Star and Michaele Haynes/Educator-curator-anthropologist. This year we will also have a section to honor the work of FASA members who have passed as well as a non-juried component of art work from FASA members.
