Additional time info:
On Sunday, January 31, 2021 at 3:00 in the afternoon, the Fellowship of San Antonio will host a performance by the Heart of Texas Concert Band in celebration of the music of Dutch-American composer Johan de Meij. The band will perform the “Lord of the Rings” Symphony, inspired by the trilogy by the great English author J. R. R. Tolkein, as well as “The Wind in the Willows,” inspired by the children’s book by Scottish novelist Kenneth Grahame and “Pennsylvian Faux Songs” (a tongue-in cheek medley of ‘folk songs the Pennsylvanians forgot to write’). The composer will be present to conduct the latter two pieces and renew his affinity with San Antonio and the Heart of Texas Concert Band – the conductor appeared with the band in 2012.
Safety precautions. Free Parking
The concert will also be streamed on Facebook and YouTube
