The Please Help Album Release Party

In their third full-length album, Dark Days, The Please Help takes a dramatic shift in their lyrics, content, and tone while preserving the sound we have all come to know and love which effortlessly blends indie rock, classic alt, and space pop with strong vocals and universal lyrics to create modern pop rock classics. The Please Help is known for their love songs, but in this album, Phillip Luna opens his heart to us in another way – by exploring the depths of depression, addiction, loss, struggle, and self-destructive behaviors. Opening with Where to Begin, we go on a tour of fading love and anguish. Even the song titled, Love Song, is more of a post-covid malaise than the sexually charged anthems we have come to expect. The Please Help is a band to be heard and sounds both new and instantly familiar.  Their third LP, Dark Days, is one to be listened to over and over, perhaps during your own dark days, and despite the somber themes it enables listeners to feel connected through a sense of shared struggle and its timeless humanity.
