The Ramadan Experience

DreamVoice LLC., The Dialogue Institute, & The Raindrop Turkish House presents: The Ramadan Experience. This event will bring together individuals from different religious and cultural communities to learn the importance of Ramadam, engage in friendly conversation, and break the daily fast with an Iftar dinner.

• 7.30 pm Arrival and Mingle
• 8.00 pm Welcome
• 8.10 pm Ramadan Presentation
• 8.30 pm Iftar (Fast-Breaking Dinner)
• 9.00 pm Closing

Background Information:
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, and is observed by Muslims worldwide as a month of fasting to commemorate the first revelation of the Quran to the Prophet Muhammad. Fasting starts at dawn and ends at sunset, during which time Muslims refrain from eating, drinking (including water) and intimacy. The fast is broken each day with an evening meal called “Iftar”
