The Threads That Bind Us Exhibit

“The Thread That Binds Us” is a joint exhibit between local artists and Project Runway fashion designer Anthony Ryan Auld. The artists will display their work alongside the fashion of Anthony Ryan Auld to display the connectivity and relationships between fashion and art. Hosting this exhibit in the Central Library Gallery furthers the library’s guiding principles of collaboration and inclusiveness, making innovative art accessible to the general public. 

Anthony Ryan Auld is a Louisiana-based fashion designer, now residing and doing business in San Antonio.  He won the second season of Lifetime’s Project Runway All Stars, along with the title of Fan Favorite. He was also previously featured on the ninth season of Lifetime’s Project Runway.  With his label Anthony Ryan, Anthony Ryan Auld creates fashion to inspire the modern woman with clean lines, definitive shapes, and bold fabric selections. His innovative use of color and simple forms continues to bring forward-thinking women striking pieces that are current yet timeless.

The participating artists are Alyssa Danna, Juliana Kasumu, Anthony Runblade and Ashley Mireles.

The exhibit in the Central Library Gallery runs from April 19 – June 18, 2017.  

An Opening Reception  and a discussion with Anthony Ryan Auld and the artists will be held April 19, 2017 starting at 6 pm. The public is invited.
